The Amero

Is it true? Could we possibly be following suit of the European countries? Are we actually thinking about merging our currency with Canada and Mexico? This is a HUGE rumor going around right now and no one knows if its true. It's hardly written about or even blogged about on the internet.
However, I will give you my view on the possibility of the United States merging currency with Canada and Mexico to create the Amero.

I have people very close to me who have spoken with some people in politics about this issue, I can't release any names, and they have become extremely frightened. They were told about the possibility of the Amero and how it benefits the government. If the merger happened the American Dollar would instantly lose 90% of its value, making every dollar you own worth 10 cents! However, this helps the government/country (not sure who it helps more yet) remove the majority of its debt. It also completely wipes out social classes; the upper class and lower class are completely wiped out. Everyone in the upper class obviously has a high amount of savings, and when the mergers hits, they lose an extreme amount of money. Then the lower class, which doesn't have any savings, is then brought up to middle class because everything is cheaper. And finally, the middle class, they pretty much stay on a standstill, because they lose some of their savings but everything becomes cheaper to buy.

Is it fair? Obviously not, but it does put a very crazy spin on our lives.

Why has nobody heard about this?
The government does NOT want people freaking out! The second this hits the media people will start going crazy. This is something we will read about in history books for a long time!
The government also doesn't want people taking their money and converting into a different currency, because that will eliminate what they are trying to do. There are several people I am close with who are strongly considering doing just that.

There is also another rumor that they are going to start gradually pulling our troops back home to handle the extreme riots that will hit the streets. It doesn't help that the President elect is all for making everyone equal, so I feel if he's given the chance he will pull the trigger on this one. And I don't think anyone should feel safe if it happens. I know I would not leave my house, because of the pandemonium that will hit.

Let’s hear from some other people about this issue! I know there are many others that have a little knowledge about it, but know they shouldn't be talking about it, but come on live a little!!

The Benefits you get for going Green!

There are three main ways that going green benefits you.

1. If we go green the Earth will gradually become less polluted with waste and gases. As we realize the affects we have had on the earth and begin to change our living styles the Earth will become a much more pleasant and healthier place.
2. By going green you will save an extreme amount of money. People tend not to believe this, but it is VERY true. You can build a garden and eat fresh fruit and vegetables all the time. This obviously will save you money. You can also keep a better eye on the energy you use. Simply turn off all your lights, computers, and televisions when they are not in use. The biggest savings will come in your electricity bill. You can buy/build solar panels, windmills, and geothermal pumps. These may cost you up front, but the savings is remarkable. In addition, by purchasing more energy efficient products that you use on a daily basis such as, light bulbs, computer monitors, televisions, this will help you reduce a lot of heat released into your house. Thus, not needing to use the air conditioning unit near as much and lowering your bill! You will be very surprised by the results.
3. Every single person in this world likes to feel a sense of self-fulfillment. In order to do this you must feel that you did and accomplished something great. Now, what is better than knowing you helped keep the Earth clean for many generations to come?

The environment has continuously gotten worse through time. Our technology has made millions of things more possible, it has benefited our lifestyles as well as the economy. However, our pollution toward the Earth has increased along side the increases in technology. The average waste generated per person each year is above 1,500 lbs. This can be lowered by at least 50% if we recycled on a weekly basis. In addition, the average American releases 20 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year! This can be drastically lowered by car-pooling, riding your bike (just to places down the street), or buying a more energy efficient car.

President Obama

President Obama will take office January 20th, 2009. Now what pull does this have in the energy world? I believe it will be HUGE! I have read over his energy plan multiple times and cannot wait for him to get into office. I think his charisma and intelligence will bring something new to the table that has never been there before. Barrack Obama's energy plan is to invest $150 billion into green energy research, and as a result, will generate five million new green jobs! He wants to ensure that 25% of our electricity comes from renewable energy by 2025. I will admit I did not vote for Barrack Obama, but I am very enthusiastic about him taking office. Change is coming and I am excited for everyone that has joined the green movement. The green world now has a spokesperson and he will hopefully lead us in the right direction.

Hidden in the Bailout Bill

Why is the "bailout bill" important to the green world? This is important to the green world, because the "bailout bill" contained a lot more information and changes than the public was made aware of. It has a huge section on energy that is really interesting. Click Here to read the bill yourself. You can earn tax credits for odd things such as walking or riding your bike to work. The most important issue is the %30 tax credit you get for purchasing certain "energy star" products. The 30% is based off of how much you spend on the product(s). It includes energy star products such as, Geo-thermal heat pumps, fuel cells, small wind energy systems, solar water heating, and photovoltaic systems. In addition, there are several smaller projects that receive 10% off such as windows, doors, and insulation. But remember they must be ENERGY STAR products! To get your tax credit you simply report the price of the project on your taxes(you should keep a receipt in case they question it.)
